Let’s dive in!
Nonprofit Marketing Challenges
1) Your Biggest Marketing Challenge: “Recruiting runners around the country, digital marketing is the only way we communicate with many of our supporters.” ” – Katie, LuMind RDS
Our Solution: It’s good that you appreciate the power of digital and the good news is you can geo-target and create custom campaigns for your audiences as you see fit. It’s likely you aren’t getting custom enough. Definitely try Contextual content on Facebook, geo-targeted stacked with interests. This will help you find people in the markets you want to reach and could work well for you. Also, never stop trying to reserve the resources you need to execute on current channels and initiatives, but also on emerging tech and new marketing ideas as well.
2) Your Biggest Marketing Challenge: “Starting a digital marketing plan from scratch!” – Kathy, PMW
Our Solution: Google is your friend. Nothing has to start from scratch in today’s world. With that said, we like to break the plans down into the scope (where do you want to go), cost, time and resources needed to be successful.
3) Your Biggest Marketing Challenge: “Trying to stay focused on using a few digital platforms really well to engage our audience and not getting caught up in jumping to every new platform in order to stay relevant.” – Leslie, Living The Word Church
Our Solution: Doing channels well definitely makes sense. However, it is important to always be tinkering in the up and coming platforms too, especially if your core audience is utilizing it. As you start to do channels well, you need to build systems and infuse team members to support these channels so you have yourself or someone on your team also exploring the future.
4) Your Biggest Marketing Challenge: “I’m newer in this role, so I’m still learning. I’m hoping to shorten that learning curve by collaborating with other professionals.” – Beth, San Diego Humane Society
Our Solution: You’ve come to the right place! Be sure to post challenges, questions etc. here in the group. We are local to San Diego as well and happy to have our team do some pro-bono office hours or come by to our next local workshop.
