Community Boost’s Year in Review: 2021
2 min to read ✭ In this post, you'll read a recap of our year spent empowering social ventures changing the world, and bringing the community together.
Another year is in the books! 2021 was challenging yet rewarding, and full of wins both big and small. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and look at all that we accomplished this year with your support.
We Hosted 2 Nonprofit Marketing Summit Events
In August 2020, we hosted our inaugural Nonprofit Marketing Summit – an idea that was born in the depths of quarantine to help bring nonprofits some motivation, advice, and strategy updates that would help them navigate the ever-changing pandemic environment. The event was a total success so we knew we had to host another one this year. We wanted 2021 to be our biggest year yet, so we opted to host not 1, but 2 Nonprofit Marketing Summits – which went live in February and August.
These events generated a combined registration total of 22,000 nonprofit marketing leaders! With the help of some incredible speakers and sponsors, we delivered 72 sessions of content designed to help nonprofits improve their overall strategy.
Planning for our 4th Nonprofit Marketing Summit is underway and we certainly have some big expectations to fulfill! In fact, the dates are officially official and registration is OPEN!

We Worked With Incredible Partners
This year, we helped over 210 nonprofits scale online revenue and impact! Our team of talented digital marketing experts assisted our partners with Facebook Advertising, Google Ad Grant Management, Paid Google Ads, Conversion Design, Email Marketing, Analytics, SEO, Recurring Giving, Social Media Marketing, Web Development, Video Production, SMS Messaging, and YouTube & Display Ads. As of the end of November, we are currently managing over $3.1 Million in ad spend across channels.

We Produced New Content
At the end of the day, our goal is to empower social ventures changing the world. Part of empowering nonprofits is teaching them the skills to drive their mission forward, and we definitely did a lot of that this year! We were able to speak and present content at 7 different events hosted by our partners in addition to hosting 10 of our own webinars, 4 office hours sessions, and 3 days of intensives. This, of course, does not include the 72 summit sessions we hosted across both events. Something new we tried this year was developing guides and/or ebooks that would be 100% free and downloadable from our website. After the popularity of our first guide, “The Complete Guide to Year-End Fundraising,” we launched a second one “The Giving Tuesday 2021 Checklist.” In addition to the 2 guides and many events, we published 62 blog posts and posted on Linkedin 224 times. Almost every topic pertaining to nonprofits was covered this year from the Google Ad Grant to iOS14 privacy changes to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our industry.

We Grew Our Community
We truly love being a part of the nonprofit community and one of the best things about what we get to do is connect with one and another. In addition to bringing 22,000 people together at the Nonprofit Marketing Summit, we grew our Facebook Group to 8,600 members, introduced a Linkedin Group and added 963 members, started an SMS community and added 112 subscribers, grew our social media followings to a collective total of 7,781 and grew our email list to a whopping 37,429 subscribers! These communities allow us to share everything we’ve learned from the work we have done in hopes that our impact will spread beyond just our partners. If you’re reading this blog, there’s a good chance you are a part of one of these communities and we can’t thank you enough for being here!
We Hired New Talented Team Members
We couldn’t accomplish serving so many nonprofits without all the hard work our team members put in! This year, we added 23 C-Boosters to the team, which is a pretty big deal to us considering how awesome they all are. Last year we only hired 11 newbies so we are definitely growing in size (and impact)!
We Learned and We Celebrated
It’s written in our company’s core values that we are relentless learners and we celebrate life. There was a lot to learn and master this year so we could begin sharing our findings with you all. We shared what we learned in so many different ways and we can’t wait to continue doing so in 2022. Our work can be challenging, so we make time to celebrate by attending our annual Boosties award celebration, and constantly sharing our personal and professional wins in our internal communications. To our team- we are so proud of everything you accomplished this year! To our readers – Thank you for being a part of this wonderful community, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to do what we do!
With gratitude,
Community Boost
